Greem Jellyfish is a multi disciplinary artist who lives and works in Brooklyn. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she has traveled extensively since the age of 13, and her experiences in alternative communities around the world deeply inform her practice.

Greem’s poems, drawings, videos, photos and performances have appeared in numerous group and solo shows in New York and internationally, including at the 2014 Brucennial, Martos Gallery, Momenta Gallery, and NOLA, Darling. The Philosophy of Greem Jellyfish, an evening of art and performance, was chosen to inaugurate the opening of the MOMA PS1 Print Shop.

She has previously been awarded residencies at AGIT Busan (Korea); Neu West Berlin (Germany); and Brooklyn non-profit art space Secret Project Robot, where she was the curator of the season-long Noise Salon series. The ongoing series of group exhibition she has organized since 2013, “Noodle Beaches for Meeting Witches,” have appeared at art spaces and music venues including SIGNAL, Fitness Gallery and Secret Project Robot.

She has toured extensively and internationally as a regular member of several musical groups, including electronic music collective DUST, bands METH, and BEEF, and regularly dj as DJ Big Black Poodle.

Greem Jellyfish received her BFA from New York University’s Steinhardt School in 2014, where she was the recipient of an honor scholarship for Studio Art.
